What is "Bucket List Travel"?
Frankly, Bucket List Travel means lots of good things: 1. We take you to see places that are on your travel "Bucket List"... some of the Wonders of the World. 2. We take the worry out of your trip so you can relax and have fun. We book the hotels, tours, buses, guides, group meals where needed, internal flights and we figure out the best routes and itineraries by study and by traveling them ourselves-- so you don't have to worry. 3. We gather great groups of people for you to travel with. No kidding. Our groups are some of the nicest people you'll ever get to know. And we help you get to know each other on the trips -- no one goes home without new friendships. 4. We help you prepare for your trip: you get travel advice before you leave - packing advice as well as a special handbook and meetings with the group in person or online so you can get to know the people who you'll be traveling with. 5. We start most days right with prayer, song and devotional. We find ways to attend church whenever possible as well as meet the people as often as we can. This element of faith really makes the trips so sweet and friendship grow deeper. 6. Friends keep coming back and it's so fun to grow our circle as new travelers join the old. This circle of friendship blesses our lives in so many ways as we share the joy of travel together. 7. We keep our groups relatively small - just big enough to have fun and but not too big to get to know everyone. Never more than one bus. 8. Our trips are planned for independent travelers so you not only get group tours, but free time to explore on your own as free days and hours are built into the itinerary. 9. "In 1990, Premier Mikhail Gorbachev's minister of Higher Education invited us to teach 150 Soviet business leaders principles of the Free Market/Entrepreneurship on a Volga cruise ship. "We soon established the first travel company to be invited to bring foreigners to the USSR! Thousands traveled on our cruise ships with Russians during those early years of Russia's break with Communism. "Our traveling friends asked for more destinations and we happily obliged creating tours in China, Africa, South America, Israel, Eastern Europe and, well . . . all over the globe. "In 2020, our new cruises to Russia were scheduled to feature Meridian hosts, Scot and Maurine Proctor, but Putin did his number. A quick pivot took us to the pristine waters of Croatia's Dalmatian Islands. From there we have added a few "Bucket List" destinations each year. "Sit back and let us do the planning for you.
