Getting Back to the USARead Now
By Elizabeth Stoddard
Having just returned this afternoon from our whirlwind trip through Croatia, we want to let you know the covid test required by the US is really not a big deal. We discovered at the Zagreb airport when we were heading home that we could have had the 15 minute rapid antigen test there for about $15. So don't worry about bringing a kit with you and dealing with the online video confirmation. We'll be checking on the other airports to be sure they offer the same service as the Zagreb airport and will report back to you weeks before departure on the latest requirements as well since everything is changing so rapidly.

We just got back to the US after a cruise to Turkiye and Croatia among other countries. Wonderful places. I loved Croatia and we were there for just a short time. I loved what I did get to see and do. BUT...coming home was the pits! Customs was the worst of my nightmares! If you have the global thingy it's much better but we had never heard of it. The Delta agent who booked our flight didn't account for customs and by the time we got through that mess and found our next gate at JFK, we missed our flight! She shut the gate just as we got to it!!! There were 6 who missed the connection. Hence a night in a hotel and 2200 additional dollars to get home on Southwest! Dawn at Expedia would never have let that happen! But we didn't know and by the time we found her it was too late.
